A lot Trump supporters are libertarians, they just don't know it yet. Granted, another half of them are absolutist scum
So help me push secession.

No one on the right is "scum" compared to the left.
They are definitely closer to us on fiscal issues. And social conservatism can be fully compatible with NAP. If they want to ban blasphemy, pot, and abortion in their county (or ideally their private neighborhood) - fine, I'll live somewhere else.
Socialism, on the other hand, can only "work" through massive enslavement, violence, and brainwashing on a global scale. They cannot allow any intergovernmental competition, or their failure would be obvious (ex. North vs South Korea, East vs West Germany, etc, etc, etc). The left will always slide into tyranny until the whole world is a North Korea from which there's no hope of escape!
You do have a point.. But there's a lot of statist in both party's sadly.
Well yes, I am one of those libertarians. Most Trump supporters are in it because the alternative is atrocious and of course... the memes. The unfortunate trumptard does exist and I would not be surprised if they aligned with pic related.
Big-L Libertarians are addicted to the idea of the two parties being absolutely positively equally bad. That was true some of the time (ex. Bush, McCain), but clearly it's not true with Trump vs Obama / Biden / Kamala.
I voted LP for most of my life, including in 2016, but Trump earned my vote in 2020 while the LP had lost it. The BLM bootlicking was absolutely disgusting.
The LP should have negotiated with Trump for endorsement. We could have actually gotten some good things out of that, like autonomous free market zones and legal seasteading.
LP has failed to accomplish anything in 2020 other than help the communists. Ron Paul alone has accomplished more by running in GOP primaries (2008 & 2012) than all the LP candidates combined!
Realistically speaking, perhaps the function of the LP is to steal votes from the RP to make them adopt more libertarian policy. As far as I see it, libertarianism still has a long way to go, if at all, until it becomes a mainstream ideology.
The main function of the LP was supposed to be selling libertarian books, driving traffic to libertarian sites, etc. Ron Paul did that much better from GOP than the LP did. The real hope was in minority initiatives like the Free State Project, but that's been a massive disappointment...
It's nice to have some leverage over the GOP, especially in the primaries, but only to a point.
Helping commies win is a very bad thing... ?
