Something I've noticed with many other Anarcho-capitalist/librightish servers is that they can be extremely unmoderated, hateful places. With many of these servers you can enter and see a member of the server's moderation team using ethnic slurs or posting pipe bomb tutorials. I'm all for freedom of speech, but I also respect the private rules imposed by private platforms.

I created this server to be a civil place for discussion relating to anarcho-capitalism. I've coded an extremely advanced custom bot which includes ephemeral role selection, a music stage channel, private no-mic channels which are wiped after every user leaves the voice channel, and advanced moderation capabilities utilizing AI to make sure the server stays civil.

I might join. Is there a reason you went with discord over an entirely private chat system like Element (Matrix) where they can't shut you down? Remember even Libertarians are domestic terrorists these days.

Yeah, I think Discord is just a much easier platform for most people to enter than Matrix. I operate my own Matrix home-server and honestly it's a lot more hassle than it's worth at the moment. It needs a lot more polish to come even close to Discord, not to mention Discord has a lot more features.

That may be true, but the fact that Discord is a for profit company, stores all of your communications and has censored a bunch of channels is enough for me to mistrust them.

I don't blame you at all. It's not the kind of platform I'd trust to discuss anything I wouldn't discuss in public on.
