people is a huge group, men and woman are big groups but smaller that people, CIS woman and lesbians are smaller groups, you can go on and on and on
the strategy is to make people think they belong to the smallest group possible so they belong to a small group VS the state
this is the main purpose of all type of propaganda to make certain groups appear smaller so they dont act because they already lost because they are "alone"
so basically a version of ‚divide et impera‘

Ben Shapiro framed it like this: the left uses this subsection victimhood groups (eg gay, black, woman, latino and so forth) to build a leftist intersectional coalition to push for radical agenda and specifically get some perks for each victimhood group like lower standards at college admission.
