I've had similar thoughts but you've put them into words better than I have. Basically, I think a new ancap society could only exist with people that chose to be a part of it, it can't have anyone there unwillingly and even would need an outlet for people to leave if they couldn't take it. In the absence of this I feel it would devolve into constant violence as many people simply aren't capable of fully taking care of themselves and they would cause a lot of problems for the self sufficient people.
Ok right I think that's what it comes down to, being able to defend the area by any means necessary and have people willing to do it
Well to me it seems like there couldn't be an ancap country with open borders unless the whole world was ancap because otherwise you would have people coming in attempting to overthrow the country and change to a different form of government, that's the main hangup I keep coming back to when I think about it. Basically to me the biggest danger with ancap seems to be the constant fear / threat of a government somehow managing to take hold, however it happens.

I don't think they could do this if the dollar wasn't the world reserve currency, this status essentially allows them to make money out of nothing. European countries have much higher taxes so I'm guessing things would work out differently there

The non aggression principle only applies to humans, it's ridiculous to think of it in terms of animals. Humans eat animals it's only fair to expect some of them would try to eat us back.
