You’re right; they’re not all the same

I don’t think liberals care enough tbh about 3rd party votes to switch them, even if I were 100 percent convinced of that happening. I am definitely convinced of the media brainwashing people last election, though. I’m sick of it

I mean you could also say we don’t really need to change the current system. But I’ll never agree. What we need is 5 percent of the vote so we can join the debates. Republicans are not that close to us; sure they’re less authoritarian right now but I’m also closer to a monkey than a pineapple. Doesn’t mean I’m going to start eating an all banana diet.

They are better economically but they have serious anti liberty leanings. And you know it.

What would prevent them from setting up shop? Nothing, but the answer is In your question. "Falling all over themselves” —there would be so much competition that creating a monopoly would be exceedingly difficult, since regulatory capture would be impossible. So you’d have competitors cropping up left and right. And with no police force and politicians to simply bribe, it wouldn’t turn into an illegal cartel monopoly situation either. Bribing the police is different than setting up your own police, which is much more expensive and In that situation, your “police” don’t have any automatic superiority to a gang of regular armed citizens.

There could be towns owned by corporations, but they would have a tenuous grip on their citizens because nearby, there would be other communes and towns owned by other businesses which would create a competitive environment. Overly draconian conditions would lead to ghost towns.

Private property would probably often feature mines in an ancap situation to keep people out. I doubt that aside from main thoroughways that travel, at least by tresspass, would be all that safe. Trade routes would need to be established and honored between communities to prevent injury. Closed borders would kill trade and kill the economy.

Ohhhhhh no it’s like it is defending trump. I bet this is a hated YouTube vid, amirite?

Libertarianlioness 3 points ago +3 / -0

I agree with that. Obama was harsh. He did let out a few drug offenders on his way out which was good, but damn. I think Trump really got trashed by the media as well as the establishment; he had that terrible habit of just saying what he was thinking. I didn’t like that he was secretly anti gun, though.

Nice. Nothing disgusts me more than a cop who says “I don’t have anything against marijuana users, I’m just doing my job.” Violent evil fucks.

I figured it would be the one time it would not be if you were actually one, but tbh I was thinking you were prolly a liberal troll. They love being hanging out around us.

3
Libertarianlioness 3 points ago +3 / -0

I think a lot of republican voters are more libertarian than they think. They just get hung up on sexuality and drugs.

It’s up so much since the last few times I’ve been here; it’s impressive

1
Libertarianlioness 1 point ago +1 / -0

I’m aware of that. I’m calling you a slur because quite frankly, haven’t ever had the opportunity to use it on a real fascist.

I am glad too; the damn coding on reddit is trash and my reddit reader apps either crash or don’t work properly. I’ll be here more often now.

I do think the founders were a lot closer to ancaps than to the liberals or even moderates of today who constantly like to say “well if the founding fathers were alive today” before they say something about how guns should be crazily restricted.

I agree that we Americans are living in a time of peace and prosperity but that is only here. Meanwhile we are at war in many other places all the time and we don’t even have to declare war in Congress anymore. Wars move more quickly today and perhaps that wouldn’t even be possible so I don’t really have a solution for that outside isolationism.

I personally do not think that any of our mega institutions of government are going to fall, fail, or be torn down anytime soon. I’m not saying it’s impossible but it does not seem likely. Personally I always vote libertarian and I will always vote against propositions that expand the government and increase taxes or decrease liberty. That’s all I can do.

Lol most of them have been duped into believing poor people pay the majority of the taxes.

1
Libertarianlioness 1 point ago +1 / -0

You can get around paying propert taxes in Texas? How? You sure? Do you own land there?

Now is not the best time for real estate prices, in fact they are sky high, although the interest rates are at historic lows if you’re going to get a loan. Maybe find a foreclosure on a duplex so you can get double rent going to try to make up for the extreme price.

Stay OUT of California, that’s all I can say. It’s a nightmare to evict here.

I hear that it is much better in Texas. Like they have to get their shit in a plastic garbage bag and get the hell out fast.

Edit: being sued is not the main issue, you can get an LLc or obtain liability insurance for that. Be more concerned about the eviction process, and discrimination laws. There are some cities that require you to accept the first qualified tenant. Stay AWAY from those. And try to pick a fairly well populated area with jobs so you won’t have to go months with your property vacant. Also it’s best to live near your property so you can check up on it, so pick somewhere you like.

Lol we stole that word on purpose. the other day a liberal said “may Allah bless you” in a libertarian forum thinking he’d get someone angry, assuming he was in a racist arena. He got frustrated later and said he didn’t mean the blessing.

Are you saying liberals are fascist or are you a fucking nazi?

2
Libertarianlioness 2 points ago +2 / -0

Oh then we agree. He definitely wasn’t as slimy or smooth talking as anyone before him, and that got him in so much trouble.

Actually the vaccine is not approved for pregnant women.

I myself want to get vaccinated. I think it’s smart.

Yet forcing people to obtain medical care with threats of imprisonment or violence seems like a slippery slope.

2
Libertarianlioness 2 points ago +2 / -0

It’s genius. You should probably have made that clear because I guess a lot of people are scared to look like pussies.

1
Libertarianlioness 1 point ago +1 / -0

This is more relevant to extremely ill people who will have to suffer a long time instead of dying quickly. Many people want to send the doctors that help them die to jail. Some people lack the physical capacity to kill themselves when they are that sick, or because they have disabilities that make it so they can’t move their limbs.

Libertarianlioness 1 point ago +1 / -0

I agree that was obviously about drug laws, but could also apply to the attempts to criminalize sodas, ban vaping, porn bans, prostitution bans, the ban on three wheelers, etc.

Libertarianlioness 1 point ago +1 / -0

The third one is a huge pillar of libertarianism; you think it’s bad PR or you believe in the nanny state?

1
Libertarianlioness 1 point ago +1 / -0

We just need to start framing this as how it affects the disadvantaged; then white women etc will care.
